Apple Fruit Leather (Grandma Ludwig's)

Spray plastic wrap on a cookie sheet. Pour mixture over plastic wrap, no more than 1/4-inch thick. Bake at 250-degrees leaving oven door ajar for 8 hours or more. Let cool. Save for long amounts of time in the freezer.

  1. I tried this out and 250-degrees is way too hot it burnt the fruit leather to a crisp, drop the temperature down to about 150-degrees and that is just right. You can also add some Kool-aid to your applesauce, if you are looking for some fun flavors, in place of the cinnamon and nutmeg. I did the new watermelon flavor and it is excellent.
